U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that Iran will face even harsher strikes, claiming the country has already been “hit to hell” and forced to apologize to its neighbors across the Middle East. According to Trump, Iran has effectively surrendered to surrounding nations, promising it will no longer attack countries in the region. In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump argued that this shift came only after sustained military pressure from the United States and Israel. “The attacks were relentless,” Trump wrote, suggesting that the continued strikes were aimed at bringing the Middle East under control and ending Iran’s aggressive posture in the region. He further claimed that this marks the first time in thousands of years that Iran has suffered such a defeat against neighboring states. “They said, ‘Thank you President Trump,’” he wrote, adding, “You’re welcome!” Trump previously described Iran as the “bully of the Middle East,” but now insists the country has become the “loser of the Middle East,” predicting it will remain in that position for decades unless it surrenders completely or, more likely, collapses. “Iran used to be the bully of the Middle East,” Trump wrote. “Now it’s the loser of the Middle East, and it will stay that way for decades unless it surrenders — or more likely, collapses entirely.” He also warned that Iran would face extremely severe strikes today, including attacks targeting areas and groups that had previously not been considered potential military objectives. “Because of their bad behavior,” Trump added, “they will be hit very hard today — harder than ever before.” Meanwhile, Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, also issued an apology to neighboring countries for recent attacks, suggesting the incidents may have been caused by miscommunication within Iran’s ranks. “I must apologize to neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran, on my own behalf,” Pezeshkian said in a televised address. “From now on, they should not attack neighboring countries or launch missiles toward them unless we are attacked by those countries. I believe this issue should be resolved through diplomacy.” His statement was broadcast after repeated strikes early Saturday morning targeting Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, as tensions across the region continue to escalate.
