Suspected Iranian Drone Hits Dubai Tower A suspected drone from Iran struck a large residential tower in Dubai, causing a fire that forced authorities to evacuate the building. Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported after the drone crashed into the structure on Wednesday in the Dubai Harbour area. Authorities said the drone “fell” onto the building, triggering a blaze that was quickly contained by emergency services. Fire Breaks Out After Impact Images shared on social media showed flames spreading across part of a floor several stories high in the tower. Visible structural damage could be seen on the building as firefighters worked to bring the fire under control. The building was reported to be Address Creek Harbour 2, part of the Address Harbour development by Emaar Properties. Construction of the tower began in June 2017 and was completed in April 2023. Building Evacuated by Authorities Following the incident, officials ordered a full evacuation of the tower as a precaution. Emergency crews secured the area while investigators began examining the remains of the drone to determine its exact origin. Residents were later allowed to return once the fire was fully extinguished and the building declared structurally safe. Wider Iranian Attacks in the Region The strike came amid continuing missile and drone attacks linked to Iran across several Arab countries following the ongoing military operation by United States and Israel against Tehran. According to the Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates, the country’s air defense systems have intercepted 268 ballistic missiles and 1,514 drones since the start of what it described as Iranian aggression. Authorities said the attacks have killed six people, including citizens of the UAE as well as nationals from Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh, while 131 others were injured. /Zëri i Drenices/ Related PostsRaportohet për datën e fundit të luftës...
