Netanyahu Holds First Press Conference Since War Began

Benjamin Netanyahu held his first press conference since the beginning of the war between Israel and Iran, outlining the objectives of the joint military campaign conducted with the United States.

According to Netanyahu, nearly two weeks of continuous strikes have already significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities.

“Iran is not the same country it was before these attacks began,” the Israeli prime minister stated.

Goal: End Iran’s Nuclear Program

Netanyahu emphasized that the central goal of the campaign is to permanently dismantle Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Israeli and American forces are targeting facilities linked to Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, aiming to prevent them from being relocated underground.

He also claimed that several key Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed in the strikes, dealing a major blow to Iran’s strategic programs.

Calls for Change Inside Iran

During the conference, Netanyahu again called on the Iranian population to protest against the ruling government.

He suggested that the ongoing military pressure could create the conditions for political change inside Iran.

Hezbollah Warned of Consequences

Netanyahu also issued a warning to Hezbollah, stating that the group would pay a “heavy price” for continuing attacks against Israel.

The Iran-backed Lebanese organization has been involved in cross-border hostilities since the conflict escalated.

War Between Israel, US and Iran

The Israeli leader revealed that he has been speaking almost daily with Donald Trump since the start of the war.

The major phase of the conflict began on 28 February 2026, when the United States and Israel launched coordinated air and missile strikes against targets inside Iran, including military bases and sites linked to the country’s nuclear program.
